Hotel Husafell is a fully self-sustainable resort powered entirely by hot springs. The hotel offers a complimentary eco-walk led by locals to the hydroelectric plants. Local art installations by Icelandic artists are displayed throughout the property.

Dining Experience

The Husafell Hotel's restaurant serves distinctive seasonal menus that use locally sourced ingredients including lamb from valley farms and wild herbs. Chef Ingolfur Piffl creates dishes with house-fermented items and produce from the hotel's own garden. Guests can order items like the mushroom dumplings, cod, and the "Autumn Treasures" Bolete mushroom ice cream dessert.

Wellness & Geothermal Pools

Hotel Husafell Iceland has three geothermal soaking pools called Lindin, plus a steam room and a cold plunge pool. The heated outdoor pool is open year-round with a pool bar serving drinks to guests. The geothermal pools are free for hotel guests from 3 pm to 8 pm.

Outdoor Activities & Northern Lights

Hotel Husafell offers automated wake-up calls when the Northern Lights appear, and will dim outdoor lights for better visibility. Guests can access a golf course, hiking trails starting from the property, and book tours like Into the Glacier and the Husafell Canyon Baths. Nearby attractions include the Vidgelmir lava cave and Glanni Waterfall, with Thingvellir National Park a 105 km drive.
